Project Planning and SchedulingDevelop and maintain a detailed production schedule for each issue, including deadlines for editorial submissions, layout design, printing, and distribution.Work closely with the editorial, design, marketing, and sales teams to align their tasks with the publication timeline.Plan content creation cycles based on magazine themes and publication frequency (weekly, monthly, etc.).Content Coordination and ManagementOversee the coordination of editorial content, working closely with writers, editors, photographers, and designers to ensure that all contributions are received on time.Ensure that all submitted content aligns with the magazine's vision, target audience, and editorial guidelines.Track progress on articles, features, and photoshoots, and handle any delays or issues related to content creation.Resource AllocationAssign roles and responsibilities across the production team, ensuring that each team member knows their tasks for the issue.Ensure adequate resources, such as photographers, freelance writers, and other creative contributors, are available and contracted as needed.Manage relationships with external vendors (e.g., printing companies, and distribution services).Quality Control and ProofingOversee the proofing process to ensure that all content, layouts, and designs are free of errors and meet the magazine’s quality standards.Ensure that final content adheres to editorial standards, brand guidelines, and advertiser requirements.Conduct reviews and approvals at each stage of production (writing, editing, design, pre-press).Team Leadership and ManagementLead and motivate the editorial, design, and production teams.Resolve any conflicts within the team and ensure smooth collaboration.Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members after each issue.
