The DGDA - Wadi Safar area is being developed as a new high-end residential / sports / tourist destination, including several 5-star hotels, 2 signature golf courses, and equestrian facilities. I am managing the design development of the main Infrastructure works within Wadi Safar; including managing changes from the Client and/or Plot Developers and ensuring Contractors / Others are aware of changes impacting their work.

Diriyah Gate area is being developed as a new major tourist destination and includes UNESCO world heritage / cultural sites, museums, hotels, shopping malls, parks, sport facilities, and a Formula E race track. There are multiple DGDA projects running in parallel.I was working on multiple Infrastructure related projects within the DGDA Program. My responsibilities included Design Change Management on active projects, developing detailed RFP documentation and undertaking technical evaluations / recommending Bidders recommendations, and reviewing design documentation (Concept / Schematic / Detailed) to ensure Clients requirements were achieved.

Al Rayyan Stadium & Precinct Project, Doha, Qatar (US$ 500 M)AECOM was appointed as the Project Manager Consultant for the Al Rayyan Stadium & Precinct project in 2013. The Project consisted of a 51 hectare development plot; which included 40,000 seat FIFA compliant Stadium, a 20,000 TR District Cooling Plant, an Energy Centre, a Primary Sub-station, and all buried utility infrastructure. Initially, as the Design Manager, I managed the design process for the Mechanical, Plumbing / Drainage, and Fire Protection Systems for the Stadium only. However, as the Senior Design Manager, my role was expanded to include managing the design development for the entire Precinct, the Energy Centre / District Cooling Plant, and all buried utility Infrastructure within the Precinct. Additionally, I provided technical support to the Construction Team, which included managing the CSC Mechanical Team and ensured the Contractor's quality of work & HSE methods complied with the Client’s design requirements. I also successfully resolved construction coordination issues between the D&B Contractor, various Sub-Contractors, and External Stakeholders / Contractors.

Najmat District Cooling Network Project, Abu Dhabi, UAE (US$ 30 M)RED Engineering was appointed as Owner's Engineer, supervising the D&B Contractor responsible for the construction & commissioning of the Najmat DC Network, located on Reem Island, UAE. The network consisted of 6.4 km of buried pre-insulated pipes (50 mm Ø – 1800 mm Ø) & 81 valve chambers. Working as the Owner’s Engineer, my responsibility was to manage the Contractor to ensure full compliance with the design. Managing a small team, I monitored, inspected, and certified / approved the D&B Contractor’s progress and monthly invoices. I also developed / issued Engineer's Instructions for the Contractor. Arzanah Medical Complex Project, Abu Dhabi, UAE (US$ 110 M)RED Engineering was appointed by the Owner to directly recommend solutions to the Contractor on the final construction / commissioning issues delaying the completion of the project. The Arzanah Medical Complex is a high-end sports medical facility. I was specially appointed by the Contractor to directly oversee the final installation / commissioning of all the critical plant spaces; ie Chiller Plant, Water Storage / Treatment Plants, and LV Switchgear / bus-bar coordination. Supervised Contractor's workers to achieve the required milestones. Project Management Responsibilities• Specially appointed, by the Contractor’s PM, to oversee the final installation of equipment & commissioning of the critical plant rooms; including the chilled water plant, water treatment plant, LV switchgear room & bus-bar coordination. • Directly managed the Contractor’s staff & coordinated / resolved all design conflicts. Developed a detailed completion program complete with commissioning milestones.• Identified project risk & worker safety concerns to senior management.

WS Atkins was appointed as the Design Consultant for a number of Tabreed Bahrain projects, which mainly consisted of large district cooling networks & a DC plant. As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, I managed the design team that delivered the design & specification for the networks / plant and managed the Clients expectations. Based on our work, Dalkia Bahrain also appointed WS Atkins as the Design Consultant for their DC networks / plant; which I delivered.I was the Regional Specialist on District Cooling Systems and provided support for other projects, including Dubai Silicon Oasis Office Complex & the MASDAR concept review.

HH Angus is one of Canada's oldest MEP Design Consultants; specializing in healthcare facilities, data centers, office towers, and schools. As the Project / Mechanical Engineer, I developed HVAC, Plumbing / Drainage, & Fire Protection designs for various projects. I also undertook inspection of Contractor's works to ensure compliance to Project Specifications.

Pakistan

FFC is one of the largest fertilizer (urea) producers in Pakistan. FFC was developing a new fertilizer complex which would produced granular Urea and Di-Ammonia Phosphate (DAP). As part of the Project Team, I helped managed the contract for the two joint EPC Contractors and oversaw the works that were being self-performed by FFC.
