About Ames Yokel

I have had many experiences in church activities: participating in Stephen Ministry as a Stephen Minister and Stephen leader, serving various positions during many Alabama Presbyterian Cursillo weekends, serving as an Elder and teaching Sunday school and other bible study classes.I am an avid reader and lover of medieval history and times. A few years ago I was a cast member of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival, playing the village matchmaker. Many hours of classes on historical characters, role play and improvisation were required prior to the 6 weekends of the Festival. That experience was a time of joy and of growth.Now that I have retired from teaching, I am looking for what God is calling me to do next. Even after teaching kindergarten for over 26 years, I still love teaching young children but am ready to use my other gifts and skills if they are called for,
