Institutional Giving Officer (Igo)
CurrentThe Institutional Giving Officer serves as a key member of the Development team, raising funds from foundations and government agencies in support of the Dr. Phillips Centerās programs, community outreach activities, media initiatives, and special projects. The position is responsible for developing and writing proposals to foundations, corporations, and other grant-making entities, and will persuasively communicate Dr. Phillipās Center's mission/vision and programs to potential funders. This position is responsible for achieving an annual revenue goal of $1 million.Ā· Manage a personal portfolio of key foundations, helping to initiate and steward these relationships, and serve as first point of contact.Ā· Research new prospective foundation donors and funding opportunities.Ā· Write high-level foundation and government grant applications, Letters of Inquiry (LOI) and complete fulfillment reports.Ā· Maintain internal grant proposal and report calendar and revenue tracking in Tessitura.Ā· Work closely with colleagues throughout the Dr. Phillips Center to gather and verify information for proposals, applications, and reports, including Education, Programming, Finance, Marketing and Operations staff.Ā· Generate and regularly update program budgets, financial reports, statistical information, and supplemental materials for proposals and reports.Ā· Help record and process grants received; prepare routing forms for development, education, marketing and finance; assist with drafting and mailing acknowledgement letters.Ā· Develop and maintain crediting for institutional supporters including donor-specified language for printed and online materials.
