Passionate about fostering student development and forging valuable connections between academia and industry, I am dedicated to my role in the University of Texas at El Paso. Currently serving as the Student Employment & Job Listing Coordinator within the University Career Center, I spearhead initiatives, such as the Student Worker Training and National Student Employee Appreciation Week that empower students who work on campus to thrive professionally. I enjoy designing impactful programs and inviting Alumni/Professionals to participate in events for students so they can share the necessary skills for success in the workforce. As a member of the Employer Relations team, I am committed to cultivating strong partnerships with companies nationwide and the UTEP departments on campus, by assisting them in creating their presence on campus by helping them create their Handshake Accounts and helping them strategize to recruit students and alumni. During my undergrad, I was highly involved on campus and in my community. I served as a New Student Orientation leader, engaging with students from diverse backgrounds to facilitate their transition to college life. As a guide, I provided support and resources to ensure their successful integration into the campus community. Following my involvement with NSO, I joined many organizations on campus to develop my Leadership skills. One of my proudest accomplishments was serving as the Vice President of Internal Affairs for the Student Government Association, where I got to collaborate with various departments and join committees to advocate for student interests by leading a team of senators. We created many initiatives to enhance campus engagement. All in all, I'm a strong advocate for student success and for working with a company whose purpose is to increase access to excellent higher education. To advance the discovery of public value and positively impact the health, culture, education, and economy of the community we serve.
