During my internship at TAOS Studio, I had the opportunity to refine and expand my skills in a variety of foundational and advanced techniques essential to the animation and storytelling industries. Key areas of focus included:Human Anatomy & Sketching: I honed my understanding of human anatomy, which allowed me to create more accurate and expressive character designs. By studying muscle structure, posture, and proportions, I gained a deeper understanding of how to depict movement and emotion in my sketches.Storytelling & Story boarding: I actively participated in brainstorming sessions and worked closely with senior artists to develop story ideas and translate them into visual narratives. This allowed me to create professional-quality boards that communicated the timing, camera angles, and visual elements necessary for animation production.illustration: I improved my digital and traditional illustration skills, from conceptual sketches to finished artwork. I learned how to develop detailed environments, characters, and assets that would later be used in animation or as promotional materials.Basic Animation & Principles: I was introduced to the core principles of animation (such as squash and stretch, timing, and anticipation) and gained hands-on experience in animating basic sequences. This experience deepened my understanding of how to bring static images to life and helped me develop a more intuitive sense of motion and storytelling through animation.Through this internship, I not only developed my technical skills but also grew as a storyteller and visual communicator, learning how to convey emotions and narratives through both still and moving images. The opportunity to collaborate with talented professionals at TAOS Studio gave me valuable insight into the workflow of the animation industry and significantly enhanced my creative capabilities.
