Projects: Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Phase 1, Digestion Capacity Upgrades for Syngaro @ Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant- $400M+ of upgrades to existing wastewater treatment plant at Sand Island- Mix of traditional and design build project delivery- Self-performing over 40,000 CY of concrete and entire process piping systemUtilizing layout equipment to lay out secondary control and Hensel Phelps self-work, managing self-perform crews while coordinating with trade parters, completing daily reports, progress photos, and equipment/material deliveries. Reviewing contract documents to generate lift drawings using Autodesk Revit to sequence work, assist in coordination with other trades, and identify potential field issues. Developing staff training material for document control, software usage, and company Standard Operating Procedures.

Project: The Hacienda at Mission San Luis Rey- $160M+ Design Build Senior Living Project- 213 residential units, wood frame on concrete slab-on-gradeManaging quality through development of project mock-up, performing preclosure inspections, managing water testing, reviewing shop drawings & submittals, and running inspections with City of Oceanside. Coordinating with subcontractors and designers, assisting superintendent with sequencing of exterior skin trades, developing waterproofing details with waterproofing consultant, managing material and permit procurement to meet schedule. Maintaining project safety by developing site-specific emergency response plan, conducting jobsite safety orientations, and managing safety documents.

ASC 67 @ UCLA consists of 3 projects that focus on different aspects of construction: Mixed Use, Sustainability, and Design Build. We spend the summer and fall quarter preparing our teams for what types of projects they might be faced with in the competition in February, covering scheduling, estimating, design, site logistics, and environmental consulting. As Project Manager, I planned and spoke at fall quarter workdays that highlighted different aspects of the lifetime of a construction project, and made sure to connect team members with our friends in the industry for more specific advice and mentorship. In the virtual format, there were less competition logistics to handle, but a big priority was maintaining clear communication with our team leads and team members about resources they needed and competition scheduling. We performed well in competition this year, with Sustainability taking 1st and Mixed Use taking 2nd in their respective competitions! Throughout the fall, the Design Build team practices the fundamentals of construction management from the Design Build project delivery method, including estimating, scheduling, site logistics, LEED, and design. As Design-Build team lead, I acted as "project manager" for the purposes of our proposal, preparing the team with workdays and mentorship pairings, and overseeing our designers, estimator, scheduler, and superintendent. Our team of newcomers was proud of how they performed and presented at competition, and everyone was able to land an internship for the summer of 2020!

For this project, we devote the year to designing, testing, building, presenting, and racing a concrete canoe. The year culminates in the Pacific Southwest Conference, where we compete against other schools for aesthetic design, structural analysis, presentation of the canoe, and racing. For my sophomore year (2018-2019), I contributed as the Administrative Director, organizing events such as Casting Day, maintaining communication between team members and the project managers, and making sure the project stayed on track, particularly with the design report.

Project: Multiple projects throughout LA CountyCompleting takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff & Bluebeam, analyzing bid documents to write out scope of work for various trades, communicating with subcontractors concerning their scope of work, leveling & analyzing bids.
