Support in the follow-up and coordination of a number of political and operational processes and files in the path of democratic transformation, in addition to supervising the daily management of the office's routine work. These files include, but are not limited to: domestic affairs, political relations, foreign relations and communicating with donors and international organizations, administrative reforms, and negotiations with political forces.

Responsible for designing and implementing domestic and international policy, advocacy, and outreach activities in support of stability and good governance in Sudan. Duties also included monitoring social, political and economic dynamics, researching and writing on social and political developments in Sudan, following up, monitoring and reporting on the humanitarian situation in the different areas of Sudan, building and maintaining partnerships with the various actors, and preparing policy briefs and updates.

As part of Oxfam’s global campaign (Even It Up) to tackle inequalities, I was contracted to prepare a research report on the roots and manifestations of inequalities in Sudan. The final report included a review of the horizontal and vertical manifestations of inequality in Sudan and an in-depth review of public services provision and social barriers of its utilization.

Responsible for overseeing Epilab’s health system researches and interventions with specific focus on developing new projects that enhance accessibility and help to overcome social barriers to formal public service delivery. Duties included regular monitoring of the implementation of social and medical interventions, quality assurance of scientific reports and research products, development of new projects and proposals for funding, coordination of grant applications process from initial application to final award determination, review of the technical aspects of the implementation of EpiLab’s activities, program planning and impact evaluation.

Triage Plus Project was a health system intervention aiming at increasing case detection of TB and HIV patients through an integrated package incorporating adaptable but linked combinations of disease recognition, health communication, treatment and referral to be implemented by variety of informal care providers. The project was designed as a controlled clinical trial that is internationally registered with identifier (NCT01841541). https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/study/NCT01841541. Duties included to take leadership in developing, planning and managing the implementation of the project activities, contributing efficiently in carrying out the administrative duties related to the project's activity and members, reporting systematically to project’s consultants on the different aspects of project progress and results, supervising and leading the work of the project’s researchers, field teams and other project personnel.
