I research, process and add reference to interlibrary loan requests. These requests are applied for our customers but also for customers within the Southern Ontario Library Service network (SOLS). North America is my library, as I work to track down resources our public readers want (in the most cost effective way). Other duties include: RFID rollout projects, database management, and interoffice communications.

Marking.With my background in advertising and communications, I was hired to help mark and evaluate essays submitted by students in the course "Communications and Advertising", which explored a diverse range of cultural trends in 20th century print and video ads.

Editing, proofreading, copywriting, photo-sourcing, and community building.While at The Mark, I served as the Assistant to the Editor-In-Chief as the Contributor Relations Manager, meaning I kept a close relationship with our 1,000+ nationwide contributors by being their first and only touchstone via e-blasts and the phone, answering any questions, requests and concerns. I also planned the company's first media launch party.

Copywriting, editing, recruiting, database building. I assisted in building the first database of qualified contributors for the emerging site themarknews.com. I was also responsible for lightly editing and proofreading submissions.

Fact-checking, copywriting.While an intern at Where, I fact-checked restaurant and entertainment listings as well as wrote copy and little features that were published in the magazine. I continued to freelance for Where after my internship was completed.
