My role in Xactly is as an Automation tester working on creation of automation scripts for the newly developed functionalities as well as maintenance of existing automation framework used for regression testing as part of quarterly releases. I also perform Functional and Manual Testing for the newly developed functionalities as well as fixes to existing production issues.As part of my role as QA the responsibilities include:• Automating of GUI and API components of the newly developed functionalities.• Fixing automation failures for the existing automation framework / scripts.• Understanding the new requirements that are being developed as part of the upcoming releases.• Understanding the issues / bugs raised by users and performing the root cause analysis of the issues.• Helping the development team understand the issues raised by users and sharing the root cause analysis for the development team to start work on the same.• Creation of Test Plan & Strategy.• Creation of High-Level Test Scenarios.• Creation of Test Scripts post approval of High-Level Scenarios.• Defect Management – Opening new defects if any, validating fixes for previously raised defects.• Validation of New changes / fixes.• Regression testing for existing functionalities.• Support during Production deployment from test perspective.• Post Deployment validations.• Test Closure Updates.We work in a typical Agile setup with our sprint duration of 2 weeks. I am part of all the scrum / sprint related activities that include backlog refining, prioritization, backlog estimates, daily stand up calls, demo’s to Business and retrospective calls at the end of each sprint.The GUI and API automation scripts are developed / maintained using Selenium Java. All the sprint activities and test management activities are done using Jira. For the performance testing that is performed as part of each release, we use JMeter to validate the performance aspects of the application.

I was working in Adways Innovations India Pvt Ltd as Jr QA Engineer. My role included the below:1. Working as Functional and Manual Tester to test any changes or new enhancements within the application.2. Identify the defects within the application and report the same.3. The Role also included the Test management that included Creation of High level Test plan, Test scripts, Test Cases and Defect Management as well.4, I helped the development team in recreating the defects which helped them identify the issue exactly.5. Developed automation regression suite for the application using the tools like Selenium and Appium.6. Worked on TestNG Framework.7. Daily activities included testing the new enhancements and enhancing the automation suite to be up to date as per the latest changes within the application.8. Our changes were Agile based and hence i have experience with working in Agile Delivery Model.9. One of the primary responsibility included interacting with Customers and understanding the issues encountered by them in the application.10. Post understanding the issues of customers, did the root cause analysis and explained the development team about the issues.11. Once the issues were fixed, retested them and helped them in getting deployed in Production.
