Amia Cate began her acting career on screen at age 10 and made guest appearances on several television shows by Nickelodeon, Endemol and IDTV, to name just a few. In 2006 she made her debut on the big screen by starring in the horror movie ‘Slaughter Night’ and ‘Wild Romance’ that same year.In 2007 she moved to New York, to study at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. After receiving an intensive training in method acting, she returned to Amsterdam to write, co-produce and the star in “The Experimental Witch Project”. The movie, initiated by Paulo Coelho, premiered at The Rome Film Festival in 2009 and won ‘The Cinema for Peace Special Award in Frankfurt.Amia Cate continues to move forward in her career and look ahead for new opportunities.
