Transitionary title while I trained an Inventory Analyst to take over my inventory-related duties. New priorities focused on intranet software development, communicating with all departments to develop technical solutions, and creating training and customizations for NCR CounterPoint. Took over hiring and management of IT and restructured our support systems, significantly improving the efficiency, utility, and company-wide perception of the department. Plan and supervise the implementation of camera systems and network infrastructure at all new locations.Began development on GCH Intranet 3.0, a private and secure custom-built web application that is home to a variety of collaborative tools that empower employees with real-time retail and operational information. Nearly every person in the company interacts with the intranet daily in some way: Retail staff use the intranet to check stock information, customer sales history, purchasing information, and review their sales performance; Middle management uses the intranet to receive reports from their staff, manage staff scheduling, and issue sales contracts to be digitally signed; Accounting use the intranet to review sales and purchasing information, to communicate with staff, and keep track of repetitive tasks; Owners can view detailed sales information and monitor the sales and profit-margins of their stores. These examples are only a small sample of the variety of tools that the intranet provides. The intranet servers up to 7,000 page views to at least 90 employees every day. Average time spent in the intranet per employee per day is 100 minutes, coming out to a collective 135+ hours of usage per day.

Developed the inventory program to reduce inventory shrinkage at our six retail stores to below 0.2%. Monitored store inventory movement and conducted research to determine cause of inventory shrinkage, and submitted monthly analyses of inventory at each location. Assisted in the hiring process of Inventory Coordinators for each store location. Planned and programmed the GCH Intranet version 1.0, to allow sales staff to easily check real time stock and sales information, and for inventory coordinators to monitor and research inventory discrepancies. Developed SQL queries for data extractions and analyses. Performed data entry of new items and inventory transfers. Made recommendations for policies and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency of sales staff with the goal of reducing inventory shrinkage. Managed the switch over from Microsoft RMS to NCR CounterPoint for our retail management system, and created all training videos to prepare staff. Planned, managed the installation of, and monitored security camera systems at all locations.

"staires! an adventure in listening"​ was a popular Los Angeles-area music blog, syndicated by The Hype Machine. With over 12,000 unique visitors a month, "staires!" differentiated itself from other music blogs by coupling song recommendations with personal anecdotes related to them. I worked with promoters to help expose new artists to my audience. I was responsible for all design, programming, music selection, and writing.

Design and programming of a internet-based RMA system for handling product returns and repairs. Features include user system with comprehensive per-user permissions, robust search functions, a focus on record keeping and employee accountability, viewable metrics and statistics tracking, send customers email from customizable templates, and reports to track backlog progress overall and per user. Since 2011, this system has handled over 52,000 products across 39,000 individual RMAs, and has been used to send out over 76,000 emails to customers about the status of their returns. (The internal messaging system has served over 2,500 messages between employees.)
