Responsible for managing and conducting the development cycle for Apparel and Accessory products by closely collaborating with sourcing, designs, merchandisers, quality assurance, oversea development centers, and contract manufacturers. Ensure overall product integrity, quality, and target pricing are correctly maintained and produced in the established timelines.·Collaborate with marketing and design departments to procure critical design information, such as industry trends, materials, trim color directions, and style intents, for sportswear and outerwear designs ranging over 250+ styles/products annually.·Lead liaison effort with cross-functional teams to understand oversea manufacturers capabilities and limitations. Shepherd prototype creation with manufactures mainly from the Asian Region through factory selection, contract/cost negotiation. Offer suggestions, changes and production perspectives to improve products and ensure successful commercialization of the product during manufacturing.·Establish parameters for style specifications, style measurements, quality standards and construction details. Identify and document any construction details or sew methods that need to be communicated to the garment factories. ·Work closely with sourcing and material research teams to identify and source appropriate materials and trims for style development, keeping proposed garment country of origin in mind at all times. Assist with creating and updating seasonal materials and parts lists and color development lab dip needs.·Ensure Bills of Materials, specifications, measurements and construction comments are input into database, maintained and accurate. ·Review factory prototypes for accuracy, quality and function. Communicate findings to the appropriate persons including, Design / Merchandising, Sourcing, Quality Assurance and Merchandising team.
