Reception class teacher.

I work on a one-to-one basis within the early years foundation stage supporting a child with SEN. I am responsible as a key worker for liaising with professionals and parents alike. I am also responsible for managing daily activities appropriate for the needs of my key pupil in order to achieve and where possible exceed targets. I am very efective at formulating creative and innovative ideas to stimulate my key pupil in order to remain focussed and motivated for both adult led and child initiated activities. I perform regular observations with regards to the seven areas of learning within the EYFS to provide professionals and parents with up-to-date understanding of progression of my pupil. It is vital that I am reliable in order to provide routine and stability and to ensure resources are readily available to suit the needs of my key pupil on a daily basis. I record and document progression and/or decline of my key pupil with regards to targets and attainment on a daily basis. Working with children it is imperative that I ensure the highest standards of safeguarding are met at all times.

Working alongside children 11-16 with SEN at all levels (School Action, School Action Plus and Statemented). Helping these children overcome barriers to accessing the curriculum, providing them with sufficient support in a variety of different classes; English, Science, RE, ICT, Citezenship, Modern Languages, Art, Textiles, Food Technology and Creative Curriculum lessons. I also attend nurture lunch frequently, set up for vulnerable students to attend should they need a place of refuge during lunch times to eat their lunch, play on the computer, play games, or talk to other students and staff.

My role as home shop assistant involves beginning work during early hours of the morning to pick groceries for customers, using my initiative to choose a similar product to send when the original was out of stock, I worked within a large team to a very tight schedule ensuring orders went out on time.

Listening to EAL and SEN children 11-16y/o read and help them with words/phrases.Involvement with Nurture Groups; this involves creating relationships with children with SEAL difficulties and helping them to understand importance of friendships, emotions, manners etc.Shadowing School Administrator dealing with pastoral care of pupils.Observation of pupils with ASD and ADHD.Assisting on school trip with children with SEAL difficulties.

Supervising breakfast and lunch times.Keeping the children entertained and educationally stimulated with activities suitable to their age group such as reading, art work and nursery rhymes.Looking after their well being.Cleaning and keeping their environment hygienic.Keeping the children under a strict routine to help get them ready for school life.Ensuring they were continuously happy and entertained.Using my initiative in difficult situations with the children.Observing both children and staff alike to further my knowledge.

I was responsible for greeting customers and ensuring their visit was enjoyable and comfortable offering a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. I also filed necessary paperwork and answered the phone using my initiative to put them in contact with the correct department. My role provided unhappy and challenging customers a first port of call, I demonstrated ability to ensure a calm and polite environment until a manager became available.
