In 2014, I left my job as an accountant in a Chartered Accountancy firm to start a small bookkeeping business as I was frustrated with only seeing clients once a year when signing their end of year accounts. I could see that the lack of contact with a business advisor was hindering growth opportunities and wanted to do something about it.I started my business as a sole trader, providing small businesses with the opportunity to have a financial advisor within their business, completing their bookkeeping and accounting, providing management reporting and the ability to act as their CFO to support growth.Continued expansion in client numbers and employees saw the business restructure in 2018 to Figuration Limited. And while my team and I continue to provide bookkeeping and accounting services, my expertise now also include a raft of business consulting services.I enjoy working with family owned and entrepreneurial start-up businesses looking for value added services and strong personal relationships. I love the opportunity to help small and medium businesses achieve their growth and aspirational goals.I pride myself on being a strong advocate for the NZ Bookkeepers Association, mentoring fellow bookkeepers and always willing to provide guidance and advice to other bookkeepers where I can.A passion for helping my community and those around me, I hold a firm belief that stronger small businesses results in stronger communities.Prior to running my own business I worked in many different industries and corporate companies - the largest being Air NZ both in their accounts department and as a long haul flight attendant (a job I had always wanted to do as a child so I ticked it off the bucket list when I was young lol).When I'm not working I'm spending time with my family (my husband and two daughters 13 & 10), traveling, coaching netball teams, relaxing at the beach and giving surfing a go.
