About Ami Khan
We are at a unique point in history where we have a powerful opportunity to be part of the next Industrial revolution. My interest lies in creating sustainable and purposeful organisations through optimising organisational structures and potential. Entrepreneurial organisations can solve some of society's biggest challenges. This needs to happen at a systematic and grass roots level; i.e. beyond strategy and through the operating model designs; focussing on people, processes, technology and of course creating value for multi stakeholders. I am focussed on contributing to pioneering technologies and business models in various industries. I am especially aligned to solar since i have been part of this movement for the last few years. My background in Finance / training as a Chartered Accountant combined with my studies and experience in the field of Psychology allow me to contribute in a human centric and structured way to create optimal value. These broad skills across various industries have given me a unique and holistic perspective. I am focussed on creating value to allow the optimisation of resources and potential. I see an organisation as a community of people committed to creating value. We often cannot see what's getting in the way and I bring an objective and independent view.I am an active community builder both inside and outside of the corporate environment and am a strong supporter of the power of organisations to bring out change and innovate. I use a people centred approach in all my designs and focus on Leadership engagement and buy in to effect change.Various roles: Culture Transformation programme at Leisure Airline including designing high level TOM for Shared Services, formulating Culture Strategy, building relationships with stakeholders across various communities to form bespoke and tailored change ranging from the remote flying community to head office teams.SME lead on Operational Excellence project within Finance to streamline a function in 3 different locations, including offshore (Deloitte). Key changed implemented were engaging a team of 60 across 3 locations, setting a quality framework in place and mentoring/people leadership development.Other contracts: Finance framework design for incorporating a new service line (Products and Solutions). This involved setting a vision and strategy, formulating a current state 'as is' and identifying gaps. Supporting a Blockchain startup collaborating with the UN to delivery the 2030 Sustainable development goals (SDG’s). Working alongside the CEO on a range of matters I advised on matters from commercial viability of the business model to optimising people, performance and key principles of leadership. I also supported on the planning and implementation of a Teal organisation design (self managing teams, optimising people and teams)
