As a fourth-year resident in Oncology and Radiotherapy at the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo, my journey in the medical field is underpinned by a deep commitment to advancing cancer treatment and research. In the clinical sphere, my approach is patient-centric, utilizing cutting-edge radiotherapy techniques for effective treatment. My research involvement, particularly as a subinvestigator in significant rectal cancer and melanoma studies, reflects my dedication to enhancing our understanding of cancer therapies.My advocacy in public health, especially in cancer prevention, is a cornerstone of my professional identity. Serving as a Youth Ambassador for the European Code Against Cancer in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I have led and contributed to impactful projects like the European Week Against Cancer, Healthsphere, Movember, and initiatives focused on HPV and cervical cancer awareness, including webinars and video campaigns. I also played a pivotal role in emphasizing the importance of cancer registries at the SaMED congress.A key professional milestone until now was my ESDO Trainee Fellowship at the University Hospital Heidelberg, an experience that enriched my expertise in digestive oncology and solidified my standing in the field. This, coupled with my presentation at the Horizon Europe conference in Paris, where I discussed the successful implementation of citizen-led cancer prevention actions, marks significant achievements in my career.As a member of both the European School of Oncology, the European Society for Radiation Oncology, and the European Society for Digestive Oncology (ESDO), I am dedicated to continual learning and collaboration in the field of oncology.
