As President of Afeka College of Engineering it has been my mission to provide our students, not only with the knowledge needed to become an engineer, but also with personal skills, such as multidisciplinary teamwork, self-learning, effective communication, critical thinking and creativity – skills that are vital for success in today’s world of rapid technological progress. To achieve this, over the past several years, I have been leading a comprehensive cross-organizational transformation in the educational process we provide our students. This includes updating curricula, learning outcomes, pedagogy and evaluation methods, restructuring learning and work spaces, adding a wide range of student and faculty-led extra-curricular activities, and creating an open dialogue with the Israeli industry and education system.
