Software Development Director
Current- Manage and develop a technical organization that can support and sustain rapid growth.- Develop and manage schedules, budgets, risk management plans and quality goals.- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all products.- Define and deliver application roadmaps and technology platforms with features that support business strategies.- Oversee Software development department to achieve maximum efficiency in the design and production.- Stay up to date on business initiatives and objectives and researches and implements best practices frameworks/capability models that will control costs, provide higher quality, and/or increase predictability of service delivery.- Reviews design approach to ensure that designed solutions are architecturally good.- Fosters innovation in the team to develop fast, scalable and secure systems.- Identify opportunities for process improvement for regulatory compliance, product quality and business objectives.- Prioritize development goals against resource constraints to deliver against the highest priority items.- Review, analyze and evaluate the department’s operational and project budgets.- Evaluate and approve new headcount, hiring, and employee performance.- Support staffing exercises to make sure the right skills are within the team.- Own software resource strategy and planning.
