• Design and simulate thermal solutions for hyperscale compute servers using Flotherm, FloEFD, MacroFlow, Creo, and SolidWorks• Optimize airflow speed, volume and flow paths to meet customer and components requirements• Communicate with vendors in regards to heat pipe, heat sink, fan, and liquid cooling components throughout the design phases• Support engineering team by loading, testing and validating thermal solutions for rack mount servers using wind tunnel and thermal chamber

• Evaluated ice-repellent properties of hydrophobic micro/nano-structured surfaces under both static (using inverted microscope) and dynamic (using icing wind tunnel) conditions• Simulated natural convection flow inside an environmental chamber using Solidworks CFD package• Developed an innovative method of improving the de-icing properties of superhydrophobic surfaces by taking into account the condensation, evaporation, and freezing phenomena during droplet freezing• Fabricated micro/nano-scale pillars, grates, and holes on silicon and PDMS by applying deposition, lithography, and etching techniques, and conducted structural analysis using SEM/AFM• Formulated an analytical model for predicting the adhesion force of evaporating water droplets over micro-structured surfaces• Designed and tested a nano-fluidic energy harvesting device from flow through packed nanoparticlesover micro-structured surfaces• Applied Cryo-SEM technique to visualize the shape of oil on oil-impregnated surfaces • Measured drag reduction of large superhydrophobic plates at both laminar and turbulent flows
