I initially envisioned my career as a university lecturer. I enjoyed breaking complex subjects and conveying key points in simpler forms - a skill I cultivated in my Secondary School & University yearsHowever, during a “slow” 2nd year Masters program, I delved into management consulting and discovered a passion for crafting innovative solutions and communicating them to diverse audiences. This revelation redirected my professional trajectory, I haven’t looked back since!Throughout my career, I have played different roles from supporting to leading innovations that have contributed to performance improvements;Reviews to MoUs between state govts and partners e.g. BMGF, ADF. These strategic updates ensured the MoU reflected the nuanced needs of govts, partners and have been instrumental in securing crucial funding for RI/PHC programs. As a result, ~1.7B NGN, per state, has been secured & utilized in the last 7 yearsCo-designed innovations in demand generation, supply chain, service delivery themes, fostering effective delivery and utilization of services. These efforts contributed to the aggregate 138% improvement in DPT-3 coverage across the 6 states - NICS/MICS 2021Leading the pilot of PHC service delivery integration models that minimized MOVs, resulting 5% increase in service utilization between Mar-Jul 2022Coordination, content development for high-level multi-stakeholder reviews involving govt and donor organizations. These sessions served as crucial accountability checks for assessing the implementation progress of across the supported statesLed the conduct of a scoping exercise aimed at identifying opportunities for HPV vaccine policy, service delivery research essential for the successful introduction of the HPV vaccination program in Nigeria. This scoping exercise delineated 6 key research focus areas poised to guide the implementation of HPV vaccination in Nigeria.Co-developed capacity development curriculum employing a multi-delivery approach that integrates in-class sessions, mentorship/supervision, e-learning for PHC managers at the across levels.
