About Amina Razvi

Amina Razvi is a former CEO of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), the leading global multi-stakeholder nonprofit alliance for the consumer goods industry dedicated to transforming business for exponential impact through groundbreaking tools, collaborative partnerships, and trusted leadership for industry sustainability. With more than 20 years of experience in the apparel and textile industry, Amina has a proven track record of driving sustainability and collective action at scale, leveraging her expertise in sustainability strategy, strategic leadership, and establishing strategic partnerships.As CEO of the SAC, Amina was responsible for the overall leadership and management of the organization, which represents almost half of the apparel, footwear, and textile industry, including more than 280 retailers, brands, manufacturers, NGOs, academics, and other stakeholders. She led the executive team and worked with the board of directors to develop and implement the organization’s strategic plan, which focused on increasing the adoption and improvement of the Higg Index, a suite of tools that measures and addresses social and environmental impact along the entire value chain. Before becoming CEO, Amina served as Vice President of Membership and Executive Director at the SAC, where she focused on providing exceptional customer service, account management, member value, and business development. Amina also played a key role in the creation, development, piloting, and rollout of the Higg Index since its inception, and led the first large-scale deployment of the tool across Gap Inc.'s supply chain, where she worked on the Global Sustainability team. Amina's passion for collaboration stems from her background in architecture, including a master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and experience designing and managing construction projects from skyscrapers to museum complexes. Amina's mission is to transform the industry into a force for good by measuring and addressing social and environmental impact along the entire value chain.
