𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺 is a Moroccan mining group established in 9 countries in Africa. It started operating in 1930 in extracting metals, precious metals, cobalt, and other minerals.During my summer internship at the same company, I built a data Historian primarily to generate reports. The way data is stored in the Historian was not standardized or contextualized and the company had a huge need to get insights from this silo of data in real-time. So I decided to take it to the next level and proposed integrating a Data-Hub to liberate the data. Libre Technologies' Manufacturing Data Hub was the best fit and therefore my mission was to successfully integrate the system and make a PoC.✨ 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 ✓ Successfully installed the system locally. ✓ Applied ISA-95 standard in Data Modeling of a particular Production Unit. ✓ Set up the OPCUA server with the system. ✓ Implemented the Master Data using the Libre Manufacturing Knowledge Graph (MKG). ✓ Fully contextualize Historian with a highly optimized time-series database (InfluxDB). ✓ Real-time insights and dashboards for monitoring the production unit. ✓ Applied advanced analytics on raw data to generate complex reports (the real added value of this project): ✧ Eliminated human errors. ✧ Eliminated a lot of paperwork. ✧ Highly accurate reports from a single source of truth. ✧ Eliminated the need for some expensive equipment.

It was difficult and time-consuming for both managers and operators to make daily reports of equipment data history. The only source of equipment data was the SCADA program's built-in database that stores data in ASCII files, which was very limited and inefficient. ✨ 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 ✓ Installed an OPCUA server (Kepware) and established the connection with all the PLCs. ✓ Installed a centralized Relational database (MSSQL). ✓ Created the database schema based on managers' needs. ✓ Established the connection between the Kepware Datalogger and the database. ✓ Successfully stored +22K tag values in the database. ✓ Provided the managers with a web-based application to dynamically generate the reports (MS reporting server). ✓ Done in less than three months with my first contact with the industry.
