I was in charge of the go-to-market and management of AmanPay, a PSP - Payment Services Provider, as an in-house startup at a large financial institution (M2T / Groupe Banque Populaire). AmanPay is now the second largest PSP operating in Morocco.Alongside its processing and e-commerce activities the tech underneath AmanPay.NET is also used by many E-gov and Utilities clients as a platform to digitise their payments and processes.Major "Side Challenge"—Using the AmanPay tech to power a large-scale platform for the digitization of the tax on vehicles for the DGI, the state tax authority. Successfully in production since 2016, supporting tax proof issuing and online payment for all circulating vehicles nationwide.

As a CTO and lead engineer, I was in charge of back-end development and API (Python/Flask), and front-end payment widgets (JS/JQuery).I was also in charge of coordinating with the core banking team connecting the platform to the different stakeholders in the payment processing sector.I also lead the project of designing and building an in-house data-center to host the platform as well as all its certifications projects. VC-funded (seed) startup with the goal to digitise utility bills and payments. The Gmail of all your bills.As CTO I was in charge of building the platform, the API and managing all back-end operations and devOps. I was also the lead developer of a team of 10. Technology stack (mainly) : Python (Django-Flask) / JS (jQuery) / Google Cloud (AppEngine) + Amazon AWS.Greendizer was Finalist at Le'Web 10, and considered one of the most innovative European startups at the time. It was also the winner of multiple prizes in the MENA region. After 3 years the startup didn't find its market fit and had to stop operations, but we learned a lot.
