As Head of the Corporate Finance department, I oversee the origination and execution of equity and debt financing mandates in KSA and in the overall MENA region. I managed various types of Transaction Advisory engagements including financial due diligence, valuation, feasibility and market studies, business plans, accounting carve-out, etc. My role focused on the compliance with a challenging balanced scorecard requiring an equilibrium between sales and budgeting, delivery, maintaining profitability margins, managing several teams and assignments at the same time, satisfying clients, developing, coaching and retaining teams, etc. I also was the TAS department champion in recruiting, counseling, career development and all HR matters (broadly referred to as EYU Champion, whereby EYU refers to the relationship between EY and its employees).My industry expertise in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region spans a wide range of sectors including construction materials (cement, steel, etc.), construction and contracting, FMCG retail, pharmaceutical manufacturing and retail, telecommunication, media and advertising, hospitality, healthcare, textile, Oil Exploration & Production, Food & Beverage manufacturing and retail, etc.Some of my accomplishments at Ernst & Young included being the manager in-charge of the financial due diligence reviews and other transaction support services for two Saudi companies as part of their IPO. These two companies are currently listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul): Aslak (metal wires) and City Cement Company. I also assisted a locally based firm (a JV between prominent Saudi and western industrial partners in the aeronautics business) in closing a USD23m financing from the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF). My role on the mandate was (1) to supervise the preparation of the feasibility study for the project and the preparation and submission of the application file to the SIDF, and (2) to manage the follow-up with the SIDF and to resolve the SIDF's additional queries and requests until final decision to provide the financing.

Team manager (and acting engagement manager over the last year) of audit engagements with large multinational and local clients including Sanofi Aventis (Algeria), ENI (Algeria), Amorim (Tunisia) and SFBT (Tunisia). I was also involved in around 10 Transaction Services assignements (buy-side) as part of the financial due diligence and (for some of them) valuation team (this included cement plant privatization (Tunisia), group of scrap metal factories privatization (Algeria), private acquisition a stake in Coca Cola's bottler in Algiers and private acquisition of an edible oil refinery in Tunis).
