Current• Evaluating and providing financial solutions for projects worth CAD$375 million across Canada and US. • Conducting due diligence on land, construction, bridge investment opportunities, performing investment opportunity analysis and underwriting reports, and providing recommendations for lending decisions. • Collaborating with investors and syndication partners, proposing capital structure, and reviewing investment agreements/priority agreements and other legal documents.• Preparing investment opportunity reports and asset management updates for institutional and individual investors.• Reviewing financial statement of investment vehicles at both individual loan level and portfolio levels, monitoring the capital allocation, back-end-yield. • Navigating real estate investment risks, providing risk mitigation suggestions and unlocking the return of the investment.• Participating in cashflow forecasting and providing suggestions to the cash flow management regarding investment and reserve scales. • Implementing and enhancing a new investment management system (nCino, built on Salesforce), streamline project processing procedures, developing effective communication and processing flows across multiple departments, creating training programs (virtual and in person) for various business lines in both Canada and the US offices. • Concluding valuation for commercial properties, such as land, residential rental/condo, retail, office, industrial and mixed-use properties. • Developing financial models to analyze financing options, project pro forma, potential returns and preparing exit strategies.• Overseeing development budget, development cashflow/schedule, reviewing draw request, change orders and budget reallocation.• Liaised with borrowers, building connections with mortgage brokers, originators, syndication partners, attorneys, appraisers, architects, planners, environmental/geotechnical consultants and cost engineers/project monitors etc.
