To start off, I have a passion for utilizing programming to solve practical and engineering problems. I discovered this passion when I was a junior civil engineering student at the age of 20 and received my first computer. From that point on, I have been eager to create efficient tools that can not only aid myself, but others as well in solving real-world problems.My journey in programming began with creating my first app using MATLAB GUI to generate mesh for randomly shaped 2-D objects. This sparked my interest in the potential of programming to create practical solutions. During my master's studies in Structural Engineering/Applied Mechanics, I programmed a FORTAN-based package that analyzed stress and strain distribution in cracked and perforated plates under loading. This was accomplished using the theory of first strain-gradient elasticity, which allowed for a more accurate analysis of the material behavior.As a PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a postdoc researcher at the University of Oklahoma, I delved even deeper into the world of programming by developing a multi-scale analysis package utilizing finite-element methodology and image analysis to simulate the behavior of asphalt concrete. This allowed for a more comprehensive understanding of the material as a multi-phase complex substance.In my role as a transportation engineer at AECOM, I have had the opportunity to engage in several challenging projects, which have allowed me to develop my skills in data analysis, quality control, and programming. My primary responsibilities have included analyzing large volumes of transportation asset and pavement data to identify trends and patterns, and to make informed recommendations based on the findings.To ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data, I have implemented a comprehensive quality control system using machine learning algorithms, which has enabled me to identify errors and inconsistencies in the data quickly. I have also used programming languages such as Python and R to develop applications for pavement design, evaluation, and field inspections.As a project manager, I am currently leading several consulting projects that involve the assessment and design of highway and airfield pavements.Skills/Interests: Infrastructure Asset Management, Pavement, Machine Learning, Data Visualization, Data Cleaning, R, Python
