THE HUB POWER COMPANY LTD:Senior Manager Finance (1998-2011)• Led the Billing and Financial Modeling Team of HUBCO which is one of the largest private power projects in the newly industrialized world for 10 years as per Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Operation and Maintenance Agreement (O & MA), and Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA). • • Authored many Operating Procedures and reviewed, interpreted, and provided comments on various Contracts with Suppliers (PSO and Bakri), Customers (WAPDA, NTDC) and Regulators (NEPRA). • Have coordinated, submitted reports and provided answers to queries of Lenders for example World Bank, Citi Bank, and other renowned international Banks, local banks like National Bank of Pakistan and investors XENEL of Saudi Arabia and then IPR of UK.• Preparation of Revised Project Forecast (RPF) and Revised Operating Budget (ROB) for International and local Lenders.• Fully involved with International Insurers for settlement of Various Claims.PROJECTS: Narowal Power Project:• A team member of tariff determination, reviewed Power Purchase Agreement, Fuel Supply Agreement and Operation and Maintenance Agreement of 214 MW nett output Residual Furnace Oil (RFO) fired Plant, Narowal Power Project as per Power Policy 2002. Also, coordinated with O & M contractor of the project and successfully got implemented many changes. Laraib Hydel Power Project:• Independently, carried out financial feasibility and assessment of Laraib Energy Limited a subsidiary of the Hub Power Company Ltd.ACHIEVEMENTS:• Independently, carried out acquisition and valuation of Laraib Energy Limited being the first Hydel IPP in Pakistan with a planned output of 84 MW on the new Bong Escape of the Mangla Dam.• Turned Hubco from Fuel Loss Company to Fuel Gain Company and saved Million of US $. • Developed Sum Due Model which became the part of the existing Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Settlement of the year’s long dispute between WAPDA and HUBCO.
