Dr. Faraji is the Director of Functional Neurosurgery, Epilepsy Surgery, and Peripheral Nerve Surgery at the Houston Methodist Hospital and Houston Methodist Neurological Institute.Clinical and research interests include neurosurgical oncology, stereotactic and functional neurosurgery, radiosurgery, focused ultrasound, emerging robotic technologies, minimally-invasive cranial surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and developing drugs and drug delivery systems for the central and peripheral nervous systems. Completed a fellowship in stereotactic & functional neurosurgery and epilepsy surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and completed a peripheral nerve fellowship at the Washington University in St. Louis and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He is currently a board-certified attending neurosurgeon at the Houston Methodist Hospital.Dr. Faraji also is the principal investigator and founder of the Clinical Innovations Laboratory at the Houston Methodist Research Institute. He leads a team of translational engineers and researchers to develop new therapies, refine and improve current techniques, and apply advanced technologies to neurosurgical care.
