Sourcing Strategies / Vendor Management & Business Development • Responsible for developing sourcing / supplier management strategies - impact on cost of goods, lead times, parts availability, total cost of ownership, standardizing global procurement policies, and broadening the global sourcing footprint.• Identifying, selection & development of new suppliers in co-ordination with engineering & supplier quality. • Responsible for Identifying & implementing cost reduction projects by supplier consolidation / resourcing / direct price reduction / value engineering / volume negotiation / clean sheet activities.• Responsible for localization of various Imports parts and reduce the import percentage to achieve localization & BOM cost targets.• Purchase Amount budgeting for the critical commodities where international price scenario is having impact to control the overall RMC of the product within reasonable fluctuation.• SOB analysis of the vendors to ensure that there is no negative impact on BOM due to differential pricing of the component on the overall product cost, Tracking commodities prices for overall cost management.• Responsible for ensuring supply purchase agreements with all suppliers to protect the organization’s interest.• Identify Strategic & Key suppliers in each category, monitor supplier health, infrastructure, monthly performance & work for improvement of same along with SQE team to improve productivity, quality and reduce losses.• Monitoring Supplier Risk Management, Ageing Analysis, Obsolescence Control, & SOB Adherence.• Managing DIO (Days Inventory Outstanding) through inventory reduction (35 to 20 Days), redefining ROL (Re-Order Level), lead time negotiations & parts local contribution enhancement
