J2EE, Web Services, Amazon Cloud, Reply GAIA, CSS, Technical Documentation, Spring 3.0, Maven, Hudson Continuous Integration, Linux/Unix, XML, XSD.[Jan/Mar 2012] SkyGo Social Backend: Sky Tv Italy SkyGo project: Design and development of the backend of SkyGo Social functionalities, accessible via SkyGo versions on Web, tablets and smart phones. Development of an API in use of the other teams to have a single point ofaccessing user social identities and perform actions on users behalf. Vodafone Global automated bulk test application against MDP (Message Delivery Platform). Multithread application accessible via both command-line and REST web fronted for configuring, provisioning and performing stress test against MDP over a configurable number of nodes over the network. The aim of the application was to automate complex tests after an important change request was developed ensuring so that no regression have been introduces. Test Cases could be created and executed as many times as needed and real time as final reporting was provided. Log4J, J2EE, Multi Thread Programming, TDD, Unix/Linux, SSH, ANT.

I covered the role of Delivery Manager in the Boutique Project for Vodafone Global, managed with SCRUM methodologies. I developed tools for enhancing the delivery and certification process of Android Client software and managed the releases for other backend software modules as well as maintaining the test environment. I worked a lot with Hudson/Jenkins continuous integration software in order to automate as much as possible the delivery andinstallation in test environment of the software. I was involved with QA Test team and Certification Team. My role required mixed skills: Technical (System Administrations, Development) and not (Technical Analysis and Specification Requirements, SPOC with both internal teams and 3rd party software and content providers, communication and organization, troubleshooting and solution finding).

Vodafone Global had contracts with local affiliated operators for the maintenance of mobile portal software VF-LIVE. Each local operator (OpCo - i.e. Vodafone Italy, UK, Germany..) had it's own localized and customized version. My team's job was mainly to reproduce and fix issues for the given software version/customization. Occasionally I worked as well on updating the software with brand new functionalities or applying a variety of change request on both backend and frontend modules. As per the previous experience in the 3rd level support team I have been involved in the high-priority migration project from version 9.6. to 9.8. for the first 6 months.

I was involved in troubleshooting activities on the Vodafone Mobile Portal web sites: each different local operator (OpCo - i.e. Vodafone Italy, UK, Germany...) had it's own localized version installed and running on different environment. I have worked mainly in a dedicated upgrade project for one of the Top OpCos (Germany) that went from version 9.3 to 9.6 of the software and I was a part of a vertical team of testers, troubleshooters and fixers. The project had a high priority for Vodafone Global and has been completed successfully.

In the VAS common services centralization area, I took part in Vodafone Global project for developing a platform to send MMS, SMS and WAP PUSH messages. This platform is the single point of access for Service Providers toward all the network infrastructures of several countries. The goal of MDP is to reduce effort and save cost integration of different vendors/applications and to manage centrally messages, routing and throttling. MDP platform have integration modules for provisioning, reporting, and configuration purpose. I worked as Software Analyst and Developer even though I was involved in every phase of the project with different roles. I aidedactively architectural and technological choices. I wrote part of the Technical Specification and Test Book document. I was then part of a smaller team that took care of maintenance, bug fixes, change requests, releases delivery and installations on production systems with Vodafone Operation teams. I occasionally travelled to Vodafone Düsseldorf offices for support.

I worked on planning and carrying out various web applications (CMS, sites, portals) for important customers with international relevance managing groups of developers. Often I had to manage a direct contact with customers and other suppliers for the planning and normal management of the projects.[January 2005] Digital Television (Java/Cardinal Studio) Commercials and applications for digital television. ColdFusion MX technology, J2EE.[June 2002/September 2005] Assaggi.it - Buitoni/Nestlé (Asp 3.0, MS SQL Server) Nestlé cooking portal.The web portal was part of bigger process of converting the subscribers of Buitoni's Cooking Magazine to use the online version in place of the costly paper version. I provided a precious help with my experience with Portals developing and User Experience.Technical Analysis, Database design and Solution design. Team Leader (team of 6). Coordination of external suppliers (sites parts related to web games and contests). Integration with Marketing Branch Database (500K magazine subscribers). Design and development of a complete Multiuser CMS system for custom content, publishing policies and content moderation. The wen site offered different user experiences according to the user type and origin, a recipe search engine, Buitoni products search engine, video cooking classes, forum, user recipes, eCards. Automatic bug tracker system created to enhance bug fixing. Later on the web site was integrated as part of Libero Portal, one of the main Portals in Italy as the provider of the Cooking Section with a custom layout, user experience and complete user tracking.

I worked ad Web Developer on the Community Portal http://www.atlantide.it, the socialcommunity of Telecom Italia Net, the bigger Internet Provider in Italy. Content Managementwas provided by a proprietary software (CoMa). I worked with MS ASP, JavaScript and a theCoMa custom scripting language for developing a variety of plugins and applications for theCommunity Portal (forum, photo galleries, comments, contests, auctions, marketplace).For a different Community (http://www.ciaoweb.it, FIAT group), further than taking part of theweb development, as an extra activity, I was the Chat/Forum moderators’ trainer and leader aswell as one of them. I developed experience working with the Editorial Team on issues likeUsability and User Interfaces. I set up the platform for Webcam chats between VIP and thecommunity users. Later on I improved my programming skills and took full charge of thetechnical aspects of a new Vertical Portal for a Photography Community(http://www.akinda.com) where I replaced the proprietary CoMa system with a MS/SQL + Asp3.0 Content Management and developed all the Community Plugins with that technology.
