-Conduct reviews and the remapping of roles & competencies for the PETRONAS Strategic Communications fraternity (423 employees overall) – ensuring alignment for all new and existing roles after a major restructuring exercise within the FSA02 Skill Group. -Owner of “Comms Academy” as the FSA02 Skill Group Secretariat, co-developing in-house training programmes with designated PETRONAS subject matter experts as well as curating bespoke learning programmes with external training vendors for the Strategic Communications fraternity. -Part of the digital taskforce in a strategic initiative to remap employee profiles within the Skill Group with an in-house “Talent Engine” software that will allow a seamless experience for management of PETRONAS and all its subsidiaries to conduct future talent mobilities and analysis.

• Part of a 3-man team of account managers for Commercial & Corporate Functions at PLI Group level (10 departments with over 300 employees globally) to provide HR service and support:o Providing strategic consultations focused in managing people-related challenges and issueso Ensuring alignment of HR priorities to support business strategieso Supporting employees and business leaders in interpreting HR policies and guidelines • Performed end-to-end employee management and HR operations for PLI Group which includes new employee inductions, contract renewals, talent mobility discussions and secondments, employee relations cases and resignations.• Acted as the change management and communications focal working together with external consultants and production houses for a global organisational restructuring initiative; project managing the communications strategy and road map, with global, functional and regional town halls impacting all 2403 employees.• Initiated the “PLI Top Sales Awards” programme in collaboration with PLI Group Commercial and PLI Group Strategic Communications as one of our major employee recognition initiatives to celebrate top sales individuals, boost internal competition and ensure sales staff retention – successful event launches in Argentina (2018) and in Italy (2019) with participants from 5 different regions globally.• Acted as one of the PLI focal personnel for the global rollout and governance of PETRONAS Anti Bribery & Corruption – within two years successfully trained 1000 employees in 7 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, USA, India, Indonesia & Malaysia) in collaboration with PLI Group Legal, PETRONAS Integrity Office and external legal firms.• Conducted and facilitated PETRONAS culture management initiatives (“Power Up” sessions, “Tell Me” sessions, internal communications and various employee engagement events) as one of PLI’s Downstream “R2C2 Culture Influencers”.

Upon finishing my TFM Fellowship, a chance encounter with Tony Fernandes led me to this new role in AirAsia. Some of the things I was involved with include:1. Group Talent Acquisition● Championing Employer Branding initiatives for AirAsia Group o Produce multimedia content (videos, pictures and write-ups) to showcase EVP internally and externally via social media channels and engagement sessions. o Conduct strategic engagements and partnerships with universities locally and globally to establish pipelines of talent for the Group – learning visits, career forums, apprentice partnerships. o Manage AirAsia Group LinkedIn page – revamped the entire interface, driving up follower base and engagements with support of rich media content and analytics. o Participation in external events and fairs to establish and educate graduates and the public on the various career opportunities in AirAsia.● Active recruitment & sourcing of external talents o Coordinate and conduct interviews for aviation specific roles including pilots, cabin crew, operations control centre officers. o Lead end-to-end sourcing, recruitment and coordination of entire country’s internship programmes for the corporate office, engineering and operations-based departments.2. Teach For Malaysia (TFM) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that is enlisting Malaysia’s most promising leaders in ending education inequity. I joined TFM as their vision of having all students in Malaysia attaining quality education resonated well with me. The Fellowship experience involves a 2 year teaching stint in a high-need school, continuous professional leadership development with TFM workshops and seminars and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education being pursued throughout the period.It was an eye-opening and humbling experience for me as I taught over 250 rural students English and History, working alongside the teaching community of my school and the Ministry of Education. Together we strive to develop and nurture young talents by providing them a holistic education. The challenges involved has certainly allowed me to reflect on my personal growth and hone competencies for my professional development.Some notable achievements include:• Contributing to the increase of SPM English passing rate of 76 % (2013) to 81 % (2014) in SMK Tengku Menteri, Perak. Restructured the English scheme of work, incorporating structured grammar and writing modules tailored for students with low proficiency levels.• Leading a team of 4 students in the National History Quiz competition. First time in school history to represent Perak in a co-academic competition. Attained 5th place in the 2014 National Level and successfully defended the Perak state championship in 2015.• Acquiring placements for 6 rugby players to continue their studies and sports development in Bandar Penawar Sports School and Arau Vocational College.• Representing the 2014 Fellowship Cohort through the 6-member Fellowship Advisory Board in a 1-year term, improving communication lines between the organisation and the Fellows.

Cambridge UOTC is a regiment of the British Army Reserves with a leadership development program that is set to the same standards of military training that all Officers must undergo at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Throughout the experience:• Undergo formal military and leadership training that follows the Sandhurst Academy model which incorporates modules such as firearms and combat training, wilderness survival, battlefield first aid, and crisis management.• Lead squads of up to 10 individuals through combat training missions simulated in high-stress environments designed to build character, foster teamwork and inculcate military tactics and methodical approaches to any given situation.• Coordinate charity events and fundraisers with local councils involving up to 800 participants from Cambridgeshire.
