• Supervise start-up, synchronizing, loading rates, shut-down of 6 X 210 MW Hitachi-Babcock units of Bin Qasim Thermal Power Station.• Ensure efficient, safe, and reliable shift operation of 6 X 210 MW thermal units of Bin Qasim thermal Power Station.• Oversee the treatment, distribution and daily operation of demineralized water treatment facilities (6 X 40 t/h streams).• Restore station power supply in minimum possible time in case of partial or total breakdown.• In case of tripping and other major faults investigate the cause and prepare report to be entered in log-book.• Ensure proper isolation/de-isolation procedures (LOTO) are being followed while taking any equipment in or out of operation to maintain safe working conditions for maintenance personnel through Permit to Work system.• Prepare daily generation statistics of Power Station.• Check and maintain the water chemistry of Boiler.• Check the firefighting equipment and report abnormalities.• Enlist daily / weekly / monthly complaint lists.• Develop standardized maintenance procedures for quality maintenance processes.• Handing over and taking over between outgoing & incoming shifts are to be precise at the appropriate levels.• Have all the positions in the department properly manned and administering BQPS operation section in accordance with the rules and regulations in practice.• Arrange in service training of Operation Staff.
