A Central Florida native and University of Miami alumni, Dr. Parikh attended medical school at the University of South Florida; he completed his Residency at Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital and his Cardiology Fellowship at University of Florida-Shands Hospital in Jacksonville. Dr. Parikh is a member of the Florida Medical Association and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and by the American College of Radiology in Nuclear Medicine. He has practiced Cardiology in Central Florida since 2000 and enjoys privileges at both Orlando Health and Florida Hospital. Dr. Parikh takes a patient-centered approach to heart-care: to understand the root cause of his patient’s disease or disorder, to define a path of medical treatment and most importantly to partner with each patient in their longevity by inspiring a healthy lifestyle, at any age. Dr. Parikh considers meaningful and consistent service to his community a vital responsibility for himself, his family and his practice. He serves on the Board for the Orange County Medical Society and A Gift for Teaching. His long term leadership involvement with both Central Florida Association of Physicians from the Indian Subcontinent and with the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin were taken to a new level when he served as the Convention Chair for the 33rd AAPI Convention and Scientific Assembly held in Orlando in June 2015. His service to the Indian American Chamber of Commerce ramps up each year as he leads a team in production and promotion of what the Orlando Magic call “The Best Heritage Night in the NBA:” Orlando Magic INDIA DAY . Blending his talents for heart-care with his passion for his community and his family, Dr. Parikh continues to be honored to serve and support the Central Florida Community.
