Take the ownership of the Risk application end to end, from Business interaction to implementing the solution meeting the regulatory data governance standards and processes. As mandatory banking regulation in United States, BASEL II came into picture where every bank holding company need to comply with international standard to control how much it need to put aside to guard against the types of financial and operational risks banks (and the whole economy) face.Under BASEL II initiative,as a Technical Development Lead, the responsibility is to lead a team having to load the data from various stand alone legacy sources in American express into the warehouse; transform, roll up and do calculations on the data as per the regulators need ; and load the derived information into reporting table on top of which various business models run to satisfy the regulatory needs.

With government pushing for health care reforms and company trying to sustain the profit margin, the primary purpose of the project is to implement a new payment innovation program for association, risk sharing, rewards and payment with a UI layer to give flexibility to change businessparameters.Under the umbrella of Payment Innovation Projects, my responsibility as a Development Lead of the team was was to design a solution and oversee the development the core business logic to associate WellPoint customers to various organizations who would be responsible for taking care of the members health and sharing the risk involved with WellPoint and sending this information to various internal downstream systems.
