Currently working in the Global Projects Team in Shell, driving data centric engineering (both within the company and with our EPC partners), embedding mature and emerging digital technologies to drive capital efficiency. The role has significant elements of senior stakeholder management and influencing without authority. Set up the digital innovation program for Projects & Engineering (P&E), developed digital strategy and roadmap for Capital Projects and led the digital upskilling of the P&E community. Strong connects with internal and external innovation ecosystems – including start-ups and academia. Won the Shell.ai runners up award in 2022.

Built and led a diverse team of 10 people – to provide strategy support, business insights and competitive intelligence to senior executives in the Upstream, IG and Exploration parts of the business. The role had significant elements of strategic thinking, cross-functional & cross-business collaboration, senior stakeholder management, and people development.

Major Infrastructure projects for Iraq Majnoon FFD (Full Field Development). Responsibilities included front end planning, design and execution of a major enabling infrastructure project portfolio (estimated capex of 1 billion) in order to support the next wave of oil and gas developments in Iraq. Challenging work environment, dealing with difficult external stakeholders, ensuring 100 % cost recovery on all projects.

Team Lead in Shell Bangalore Project Design Office - working on FEED and pre-DG3 support for various Projects & Assets in the Asia-Pacific & MENA region, with a special focus on Iraq Majnoon. Responsibilities included work planning, bidding for and securing work through competitive CTR’s and driving team efficiency. Led a team of 6 Engineers and 2 designers from resident EPCm (Jacobs)

Iraq Majnoon project - First Commercial Production. Lead Civil & Structural engineer for the greenfield, brownfield and infrastructure scope of work. Responsible for FEED and Detailed Design deliverables from the EPCm contractor (Petrofac).

Providing engineering consultancy services, including R&D, project and asset maintenance support for Asia-Pacific and MENA region.

Onsite in Sakhalin Russia, as a Construction Engineer - two 800 km onshore oil and gas pipelines. Responsible for Winter River crossings and Seismic Fault crossings, including all HSE and QA/QC aspects at site. Worked with and supervised a multinational crew of 100 plus staff and contractors.

Project support and review of engineering deliverables (FEED) for the Nigeria LNG SevenPlus project.

Entrepreneurship - started-up and ran my own business - construction of public works for the governments of Maharashtra and India.
