Dr. Amit K. Dinda is currently working as Director Research and Consultant at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Faridabad. He is leading the Amrita Research Center for developing collaborative network with Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Amrita Hospital transforming it as a Translational Hub. He served as ICMR Emeritus Scientist in Department of Pathology, at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi after superannuating as Professor from the same department. He did his MBBS from Calcutta Medical College, post-graduation in Pathology at AIIMS followed by PhD in the area of Neuro-oncology. He was Professor in-charge of Division of Renal & Transplant Pathology. He is founder Secretary of Indian Society of Nanomedicine. He worked in the area of application of Nanotechnology in Medicine and Nanotoxicology. His laboratory has developed nanoparticle based oral gene delivery system and nanoadjuvant for developing single shot booster free vaccine. The on-going projects include development of novel nanocarriers for Amphotericine B, antitubercular drugs, nanoadjuvant for single shot booster free vaccine for Hepatitis B, combined chemo and phtothermal therapy for superficial bladder cancer, nanocosmecuticals, Quantum Dot based Immunonanofluometric assay system, SPION based cellular tracking and separation technology, wound care technologies and nano intervention in Neutraceuticals. He is one of the editors of 1st guideline for Safety Regulation for Nano pharmaceuticals in India and Safety Regulation of Nano-Agri Products in India. He has published more than 350 articles in indexed journal, edited 4 books, written 14 chapters in books and filed 12 patents. He is President of Indian Society of Renal & Transplant Pathology and Founder Secretary of Indian Society of Nanomedicine. He worked as a Visiting Professor in Molecular Nephrology at Long Island Jews Medical Center & Albert Einstein Medical College, New York, USA and Dept. of Biomedical Engineering at University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Currently he is Visiting Professor AIIIMS, Risikesh, Honorary Professor Deakin University, Australia . He is a senior assessor for NABL, GLP and GCP quality systems. He participated as Indian representative in the Executive Committee meeting of Global Council for Regulatory Science Research (GCRSR) at Ispra Italy on September 24, 2019.
