Project Management and Consultancy Services as the Unit Head for installations of DOP comprising of execution of Electrical and Mechanical Infrastructure and carrying out the energy audits etc. in the jurisdiction of four states of central western India poses a modest challenge. When additional charge of Mumbai Division was also entrusted to me then it became even more challenging as the jurisdiction spanned to eight states of central India (from Rajasthan to Telangana), and this responsibility continued for three years. Took many initiatives to revamp the characteristics of infrastructure of the India Post Buildings which include installation of higher capacity grid tied solar power units, automation of sorting work by deployment of DWS cum Sorter machines, scrapping & replacement of old lifts, sub-stations & other installations, construction of new buildings & conducting energy audit & adoption of energy conservation measures for postal installations.The major project was to develop the infrastructure for opening of 200 branches of India Post Payment Bank.During this tenure, our work was recognized by achieving of national and state level awards for energy conservation. GPO, Mumbai /Nagpur / Jaipur/ Hyderabad and Jodhpur won the awards for significant energy conservation works.

It was a huge responsibility, as the JMRC was opening its section 1A of 9Km for the passenger service between Mansarovar and Chandpole. Getting ready the Operations team for passenger traffic involved training, tuning up the staff and development of their competency, invoking outsourcing services alongwith their contract management, getting safety inspection done from the designated authority and co-ordination with other departments viz. Rolling Stock, Signalling and AFC, Traction & EM and security agencies etc.Newly recruited and trained staff was being put to manage the Operations Control Centre (OCC), Depot Control Centre (DCC), for Train Operations and management of the stations for the revenue operation for the first time.So, experience at JMRC reckoned many firsts. Everything happened as planned, most significant was handling of approximately 1lakh passengers on the first Sunday after its beginning of revenue operation on 3rd June 2015. It was really challenging.

Continued Playing active role in building electrical and mechanical infrastructure for the EWSD, OCB telephone exchanges, RLU's and GSM BTS sites , but now in the six districts of southern Rajasthan. That includes development of sub-stations, HVAC system, installation of DG sets, Fire Detection and Fire Fighting System, Internal Electrical Installation, Compound and High Mast Lighting, precision earthing and submersible / monobloc pumps etc.Proactively maintained the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of Telephone Exchanges of six districts of southern Rajsthan. Carried out energy audit of Telephone Exchanges (Tariff and Non-Tariff based), implemented the outcomes of audit in the form of No Cost / Low Cost and High Cost measures. Huge cost of electricity was saved due to these measures.Vigorous efforts were made for development of Electrical and Mechanical infrastructure at the 95+ USOF funded GSM BTS sites in record time and maintained record uptime of the same.

After being selected and ranked at All India Rank 3 in Indian Engineering Services Examination conducted in 1998 by UPSC, I was allocated Department of Telecommunication. On the conversion of service providing part of DOT to BSNL on 1.10.2000, I was posted on deemed deputation to BSNL Sub-Division, Udaipur. I handled the Project and maintenance works of Electro-mechanical Services pertaining to Electronic Exchanges of BSNL.
