As a Manufacturing Manager at MECON Limited, India, I am responsible for overseeing the production and planning of the SMS shop, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and safety standards. With a B.Tech degree in Metallurgy and over 13 years of experience in the steel industry, I have developed a strong expertise in steel making via BOF/EAF-LRF-CCM route, as well as in commissioning and operating various units such as LHF, RH Degasser, and CAS-OB.Prior to joining MECON, I worked as a Deputy Manager and an Assistant Manager at JSW Steel, where I managed all shift-related activities, manpower management, quality control, and defect elimination in the production of HR coils, long and flat products. I also contributed to several projects, such as improving the quality of HR coil by reducing edge cut defect, balancing the Fe and heat mass calculations, and preparing the budget of the CONARC furnace depending on the availability of the charge mix. I am always eager to explore new opportunities and work with new technologies that can enhance the performance and sustainability of the steel industry.
