My role as an Operations lead was to consultant Kala Jyothi’s management to -Manage Growth - Kala Jyothi expanded its manufacturing presence in multiple locations and also boosted their product offerings.Build and Structure teams with very specific roles and responsibilities.Streamline Processes and preparation for various quality audits, certifications and Good Manufacturing practices.Major Project: Implementation of ERP across all departments of the organisation such as Sales, Customer Support, PPC, Purchase, Stores, Production, Quality Control and Despatch and integration of data with Financial Accounting (Tally). The aim was to bring the entire organisation one single working platform, to streamline operations and generate reports in a standardised format. To study internal workflow and train the teams to work in an ERP environment. To liaise with the software developers for Kala Jyothi’s customised requirements and make changes to the ERP software modules.

Gathering market information, assessing vendor capabilities to meet stringent quality requirements, Conducting and reviewing results of technical trials, Float RFPs based on SLAs. Putting together Vendor Contracts. Scheduling: To sphere-head production planning of various magazines, supplements, custom publishing projects and work together across teams to chart and monitor schedules for various projects to run simultaneously yet efficiently. Quality Assurance: Pre-media: To ensure Colour correction, retouching of images and page layout creation and finishing is as per brief by Art Directors and key stakeholders in the editorial team. To create quality control protocols and approval procedures to ensure any output is thoroughly assessed and passed before being tagged for completion. Printing and Finishing: To enforce service level agreement ensuring factory machinery and equipment are maintained and calibrated as per ISO standards and CNI’s custom workflows. To organise training for vendor’s teams for better understanding of expectations, quality standards, provide initial hand holding, On-floor quality monitoring, and ensuring audit of printed material before dispatch. Integration of Pre-media with Production: Instrumental in setting up an in-house Pre-media studio to bring efficiencies of cost, turnaround time, enhancing output quality with optimisation of resources. Digital Technology transformation: Directed the team of key users to work closely with local and International IT team to implement Vjoon K4 (publishing workflow management software), Digital Asset management workflows to enhance operational synergies between local Editorial, Art, Production, Pre-media teams with international content syndication team.Recruitment and training
