Amit Sinha MBBS (Hons) MS(Orth) MCh(L’Pool) FRCSG FRCS(Eng) FRCS(Tr&Orth)Mr Amit Sinha has now retired from the NHS UK after being a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon in North Wales at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl (Betsi Cadawaladr University Health Board), United Kingdom for approximately 20 years.He gained his medical qualification MBBS from Ranchi University in 1980 and completed his post-graduation Masters degree in Orthopaedics from Prince of Wales Medical School, Patna in 1983. He came to the UK in the year 1985 and passed his general surgical FRCS fellowship in 1988 and worked as a research registrar at Walton Hospital in Liverpool in 1990, successfully achieving a Masters degree in Orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool. He then went on to complete his higher surgical training in Manchester and gained valuable experience as a trauma fellow at the University of Tubeigen in Germany. He has also gained his FRCS (Tr &Orth) in 1999 and FRCS (Eng) in 2011. He did a Trauma Fellowship from the University of Tubegen, Germany. His final years were spent at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary at Lancaster before joining as a Consultant in North Wales.Apart from his clinical services he is involved in education, research, training as well as the management of Orthopaedic services in Wales.He has been a Past President of the Indian Orthopaedic Society UK and a Past President of the Welsh Orthopaedic Society. www.sinhaorthopaedics.co.uk
