The duties are collection and purification of strains of Bacterial Leaf Blight disease occurring in our product development trials. Outcrossing F1 and BC1 populations of interests in the parental line and test those by challenge inoculation against BLB race of interest. Prepare samples for molecular confirmation by MAS.ResponsibilitiesPerform experiments, manages and analyzes data and prepares reports.Follow all the compliance required by Savannah and Govt. Safety, Health and Environmental Policy for conducting Biotech Research.Communicate and collaborate with team to understand needs, capacities, and requirements to provide adequate number of high quality crosses to get adequate amount of seed for further executions.Participate in project management activities via adopting project management practices and utilizing appropriate databases.Ensure all operations are completed in a safe and cost effective manner on time.Supervise assigned full time lab and temporary field support.Manage training of part time/seasonal workers to meet project objectives.Accountable for assigned projects by maintaining efficient daily operations.
