As a part of k2i’s Bringing STEM to Life: Work Integrated Learning Summer Program, I mentored a group of lab assistants in research focused on science and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. -Planned and designed daily research activities for lab assistants to explore the field of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. -Assisted in Physics Labs and provided Physics-based tutoring in virtual classrooms. -Emphasized k2i academy’s goal of dismantling systemic barriers regarding opportunities available to underrepresented students in STEM. -Provided and enhanced my skills in Engineering, Biology, and Coding. -Collaborated with a team to maintain an equitable and inclusive working environment. -Led the development of an autonomous tissue incubating system to ensure proper tissue growth and functionality for tissues with engineered scaffolds.
