1. High School biology, AP biology, biotechnology and anatomy and physiology teacher since 19992. Undergraduate biochemistry laboratory (both lecture and lab) instructor since 2008 3. Mentoring students for high school science fair and biomed pathway to college from 20055. Mentoring undergraduate research for assigned seniors and summer students (pre-med aspirants)6. Assist both high school and undergraduate students to achieve their goals with my skills in purification, characterization (spectroscopy, chromatography and MS) of enzymes and cellular (transcription) factors from plants, animal and cell lines and experience in cell culture, molecular biology and electron microscopy. 7. Help students with laboratory and learning supplies by soliciting and procuring grants from the Gift of Life and Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness, PA, Toyota, Toshiba and NEA foundations. I managed to receive more than $100000 for our high school science labs. I was a co-PI of NASA/NSF education grant award ($500000) at the Drexel University, PA. 8. My high school (biomed pathway) students routinely achieve undergraduate admission in Ivy-Leagues and class-one universities and most biochemistry undergrads go to graduate school (medicine, dentistry, health and doctoral) and/or seek jobs in industry.
