I led cross-functional and multi-national teams on worldwide shipping routes. I communicated with authorities on land and participated in maritime initiatives. I handled the navigation budget. In Port, I planned stability of the ship while handling loading, storage and discharge of millions of barrels of crude oil. I attended to legal and commercial business. As Facility Contact, I highlighted non-conformities and improved emergency and standard operating procedures.

I prepared and executed the ships worldwide navigating plan. As Cargo Operator, I supervised the handling of highly toxic and corrosive crude oil. I attended to legal and commercial aspects of marine business including compliance with audits and surveys. As Shipyard Officer, I led teams during a complex repair project in Bahrain. In shipyard, I also budgeted for repairs. Additionally, I was the Medical Officer taking care of the hospital onboard and assisted during medical evacuations. As Helicopter Landing Officer, I supervised a team of 10 during helicopter landing and takeoff operations on ship.

I supervised the upkeep of safety, security and environmental protection equipment. I headed the safety department and closely worked with over 200 team members during a shipyard project in Indonesia and Singapore. I served as a point of contact on a storage tanker during the re-commissioning stage of an offshore oilfield in Vietnam. I implemented the training plan for crew and trainee cadets. I under studied the Navigating Officer while carrying out navigation, marine communication and cargo handling.

As an Officer Cadet, I learnt the safe loading and discharge of oil while at numerous terminals all over the world. I assisted the seniors onboard during navigation while transiting the Malacca/ Singapore straits in fog like restricted visibility caused due to forest fires in Indonesia. I was entrusted the critical responsibility of constantly monitoring the temperature of oil from the load port to the discharge port and ensuring that the oil would remain within the optimum temperature range for discharge as per the charter requirements. I also assisted the team onboard to pass numerous quality audits and oil major inspections and on one of the ships I worked, I led a team of 5 to prepare for a quality audit, which became the first ship in the fleet to pass the International Safety Management audit in Singapore.
