As the Lead Architect and technologist for Yahoo's Video Platform, I am responsible for ensuring the architectural integrity, scalability, and stability of the platform's systems and components. My role involves a deep understanding of both business objectives and technical requirements, allowing me to translate complex needs into actionable design and solution strategies. I work closely with Yahoo's business units to implement innovative features that enhance the platform’s capabilities, optimize video monetization, and ensure seamless integration across multiple products. Additionally, I collaborate with the VP of Engineering to define long-term roadmaps and set quarterly objectives that align platform evolution with strategic business goals. In addition to architecture, I remain deeply involved in hands-on coding, maintaining a high-quality codebase that ensures the stability and maintainability of our systems. I lead cross-organizational initiatives, working with other architects and development teams to deliver cohesive solutions across Yahoo's ecosystem. My contributions extend to Yahoo’s company-wide systems architecture committee, where I help establish best practices and standards, driving improvements in video streaming performance, monetization, and overall user experience. Through this role, I combine technical leadership, strategic collaboration, and hands-on expertise to deliver impactful and sustainable solutions in the video technology domain.
