I am passionate about understanding and exploring the constraints of human performance from both physiological and kinesiological perspectives, particularly in challenging situations involving environmental stressors and workload demands. My goal is to contribute to the planning and tailoring of work or exercise routines that optimize performance and minimize the risk of injuries.My research interests focus on evaluating human work capacity and the factors that limit performance, such as neuromuscular fatigue, thermoregulation, body heat balance, the effects of cold and heat, blood flow, applied biomechanics, motion analysis, oxygen uptake (V̇O2), heart rate (HR), and their kinetics under challenging conditions. Currently, I am working to understand skin health and physiology in order to prevent pressure ulcers (PUs) in bedridden patients.As an innovative thinker, I developed the Physiological Evacuation Model to calculate step rates for stair ascent and the Muscle Activity Interpretation Squares (MAIS), a tool designed to observe targeted muscle activity, especially the onset of fatigue over time during any task.Additionally, I am working on a framework called Healthy Life Principles, which I have named Habits of Active Lifestyle for Longevity (HALL).DISSMASS in the HALL™: ©Amitava HalderDISSMASS stands for Diet, Intermittent-fasting, Sleep, Sunlight, Movement, while minimizing Alcohol, (Smoke), Stress, but Socialization.
