Lead and manage DFID funded UNFPA Nepal Family Planning Project (Contributing towards prevention of Maternal Deaths in Nepal)

Responsible for management of health programs, human resource management and representation of organization at various forums. I lead the project entitled RISE [Rebuild, Integrate, Strengthen, Empower] - Health Systems Strengthening, Integration of Services and Community Empowerment.

- Led and coordinated district level earthquake emergency project comprising of Health, Hygiene (WASH),Shelter, Cash Distribution, Psycho-social support, and Food Security Components. Working closely with local implementing partners, UNOCHA emergency response clusters (WASH, Health, Shelter, Food Security and Nutrition) and the local government in Gorkha. A total of 5000 plus disaster affected household were directly benefited.- Piloted the first phase of 'The Listen Learn Act Project' in Gorkha funded by ECHO and operated by a consortium of three agencies (DanChurchAid, Save the Children and Ground Truth Solutions (Keystone Accountability) entitled "Enhanced Response Capacity through Evidence-Based Quality and Accountability Standards and Innovative Inclusion of Affected Populations" https://www.danchurchaid.org/about-us/quality-assurance/the-listen-learn-act-project

Led evidence based health promotion intervention on maternal and child health and reproductive health in close coordination with Green Tara Trust UK, and academicians/researchers from three UK Universities - Liverpool John Moores University, Bournemouth University and the University of Sheffield:- Comprehensive Health Promotion Project for improving maternal and child health (MCH) and adolescent’s sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) in project districts- Safe Delivery Project (Birthing Center) for promotion of continuum of care from adolescence, pregnancy to post-partum period in Nawalparasi district.- (After April 2015) Post Disaster comprehensive health promotion activities including WASH & environmental health.- Contributed in development of a successful project on the promotion of institutional delivery through Health Promotion approaches, awarded by Amplify Change- Evaluation of Health Promotion Initiatives in Nepal- Desk and narrative review & review of health promotion teaching in medical and health science curricula in Nepal- Coordinating with stakeholders, funders, government and non-governmental agencies at local and national level for generating evidences, and lessons for program implementation.- Strategy development, program designing, and leading the development of Green Tara Nepal portfolio in coordination with Nepal trustee and Green Tara Trust International Director.

Management and coordination of USAID funded Saath-Saath Project (SSP) program activities for the field office to ensure a strong, comprehensive program that responds to the specific, unique situation in each district. Saath-Saath Project (SSP), provides HIV prevention to care, support and treatment services along with family planning (FP) services through outreach activities and expanded integrated health service (EIHS) sites.- Supervise, direct, and manage programs in a cluster of district (Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Kapilvastu, Rupandehi and Palpa)- Establish effective district- and regional level collaborations with key stakeholders, including government body, USAID partners, INGOs, NGOS, CBOs, beneficiary group and implementing agencies (IAs).- Support development of evidence-based district and regional-level strategic plans in coordination with stakeholders and SSP country office to reflect community-specific needs in each location.

I was recruited by School of Development and Social Engineering, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pokhara University as a teaching assistant for "Masters Degree in Population, Gender and Development (MPGD)". My major role was to assist Faculty Director by taking classes on "Migration and Urbanisation" for MPGD second semester students. PTHMI (Pokhara Technical Health Multipurpose Institute) is a vocational training institute producing grassroot/mid-level health professionals (Health Assistant, Staff Nurse)--As a course instructor I was responsible for the supervision of community Health Diagnosis Survey where students were stationed in rural villages for a period of 45 days to carry out a comprehensive health assessment and produce a report which was then submitted to District Health Office of the respective district.--Course Instructor on basic principles of Public Health (Epidemiology, Health Management, Environmental Health)
