Inter ECU communication stack for Active Safety ECU’s of Tier 1 Japanese OEM Duration: 2016- Till Date Role: Technical Lead Highlights: Technical Lead for a team of 10 members working on Inter ECU communication (NET) for Active Safety ECU’s of a Japanese OEM with Global presence. Products include ABS, ESP, TCS and their Value added functions (VAF’s) Knowhow on AUTOSAR concepts since the project involves Communication Stack development compliant to Autosar StandardsCommunication Stack involves protocols like CAN, CANFD and LINAnalysis of requirement specification from OEM for communication monitoring, frames, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Masking, Network Management(NM) etc.Configuration of Communication Stack using the CAN Matrix from OEM and the Base Software Configuration Tool (BCT) which is an eclipse based tool for stack layers like COM, COMSCL,PDUR,CANIF,CANSoftware development using Agile Methodologies with events like Scrum meetings, SCRUM of SCRUMs, Sprint Planning Meeting, Retrospection Meetings etc. 3x5 Why/Causal analysis and 8D analysis of the defects reported by Customer or Test teamRegular interaction with the OEM through technical requirement clarification meetings.Requirement Engineering using IBM Rational DOORS , for development and test traceability.Software development using IBM Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) .

Working as a Model developer for LabCar System . Labcar is a combination of software and hardware based simulation of the actual car environment and it facilitates the testing of the Electronic control units(ECU's) . The models that I develop are used for testing the ECU's which are involved in Active safety systems in automobiles.The role also involves troubleshooting of issues in software(model) and the hardware(Labcar,ECU) onsite and through calls for a wide variety of users worldwide and exposure to communication with people from different countries like China,Japan,Australia,France,Germany,Brazil,North America and so on.Worked as a Resident Co-ordinator for the activities mentioned above by being onsite at Germany for a period of 1 year.Active safety systems mainly involves products like Anit-lock Braking systems(ABS) , Electronic Stability Program(ESP) and Traction Control System(TCS).The simulation model that we develop involves simulation of the In vehicle communication between different ECU's through protocols like CAN,Flexray,LIN etc.It also involves the models for sensors like Yaw rate sensor, Steering angle sensor, Wheel sped sensor, Pressure sensor, Vacuum sensor etc which are used in these safety systems.Also to test the ECU, we need the simulation of the Vehicle Dynamics or the Physics involved in an around a vehicle. This constitutes the Vehicle Dynamics and the Vehicle Environment simulation.The Braking systems involved form a backbone of these safety systems and they are in the hydraulics model for the Labcar.My role is to capture the project specific requirements related to most of the components mentioned above and develop models for them.
