About Amit Joshi, Caia, Cim

Amit is a Portfolio Manager at Barometer and brings over 15 years of capital markets experience to the team. Amit’s duties include analysis of securities, meeting with company management teams, and communicating with sell side analysts. Amit also monitors macro events and data and analyzes their impacts on portfolio positions. Prior to Barometer, Amit was an Associate Portfolio Manager with Roundtable Capital Partners in Toronto where he was an integral member of the portfolio management team and helped run the firms Long/Short Equity and Covered Call mandates. He graduated from the University of Waterloo where he attained a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Economics and specializing in Finance and Public Policy. Amit has successfully completed Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst program and received the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation in 2013. Amit also obtained the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation in 2023.
